Depressed ladies cat

From the NapoWriMo site. Today I challenge you to write a poem in the voice of a member of your family
The depressed ladies cat.
Can you open the door mum
I want to go outdoors?
Don’t worry about the weather
Do not mind if it pours.

Give me a shout for dinner
I may be across the road
in the neighbour’s garden
and sit and stare at Maud

Don’t fret about the traffic
I’ll keep out if its way
I know the green cross code
I used it yesterday

I heard you shouting mum
Did you see me jump that fence
I have bought you a wee present
to stop you feeling tense
Why are you screaming mother
and standing on that chair
I thought that you would like it
this spider I’d like to share

Please sit down now mum
I’m feeling rather weary
you can stroke my fur
When you are feeling teary
