So it begins again. That fiend that is national poetry month. Aka NaPoWriMo If you do not know what that is then check out the Other barmy people. website and it will be explained. Basically it is one poem a day for a whole month. Like I said. Barmy.
So here is day one. And as it is April the first. I shall start if you will with a joke.
Day One. April fools
Wait for the newspapers they do like the fad
of a giant chicken discovered in Chad.
Of a new star constellation in the form of a dog
And laughing gas now found in our fog
What do you expect? its April fools day.
If I roll my eyes it may go away
Did you hear that the aliens had landed in York
Pigs fed Cadbury, to make chocolate pork!
A dinosaur is rampaging around in the streets
A horse that barks and a cat that bleats!
What do you expect? It's April fools day.

Did they really believe that the sun had gone out?
That the Pacific ocean was experiencing drought
That King Kong was real and living in Stoke
Its April the first! its just a joke!
Well. We can hope.
I wish I had read this on April Fools Day Audrey, as it would have tickled me pink. Just doing the rounds now but this is very good and that's no joke. If King Kong is living in Stoke then I pity the poor townsfolk :)
