Beatrix and the Flamingo

Dedicated to Beatrix

Beatrix has a Flamingo
Its feathers are bright pink and red
Flamingos transcend
and make wonderful friends
They will keep you safe in your bed

They would go on many adventures
In dreams, on his back, she would fly
She would feed him sweet peas
while they flew over trees
waving to the clouds drifting by

They would fly to visit the fairies
dance with the stars and the moon
Climb on bookshelves
then have tea with the elves
While they sat on a magical spoon

They would swim beneath the ocean
and sing lullabies with the fish
Count all the scales
on a sea dragons tail
You will win a big pearl on a dish

Beatrix has a flamingo
Its feathers are bright pink and red
waking up from her dream
when she sees a sunbeam
And be safely tucked up in bed.
