Ballet

I thought i'd try some Ballet
Like I learnt awhile at school
It always seemed quite easy
It made me feel quite cool

So now i thought i'd try it
It was easy as a child
it was the sort of exercise
I thought  it would be mild

I got myself a tutu
and matched my tights the same
I finished off with legwarmers
Just like they wore in Fame

Had problems with the ballet shoes
Size Nine and extra wide
I suffer from the bunions
So i need some room each side

The only place that stocked them
Was a local fancy dress
They were made for Widow Twanky
When she played in Dungerness

I think i now am ready
For now i will soon prance
To think i could be headlining
At the royal ballet dance

The Moment I did Pli'e
Heard an unsuspecting crack!
I split my knickers seams
and pulled a muscle in my back!
