Asking for a hand can cause trouble

I am sorry for the roughness of this poem.

Poor old Margaret lived alone
Her neighbour Stan did have a moan
Stan would always spit and say
Her lawn could make lovely hay

Stan his garden was over nice
His lawn was cut to an inch of its life
He didn't care of others plight
When he cut his lawn late at night

Poor old Margaret said to Stan
Can you please give me a hand
Just a little help with mowing
I will pay you all that's owing

Stan he huffed and laughed aloud
My garden makes me very proud
The thought of that brings trepidation
It would ruin my garden reputation

One day in June, a sunny time
Margaret heard the strangest whine
She ventured out into the sun
Thought Stan was a noisy one

And suddenly a scream she heard
Its startled all the local birds
Stan's garden fence could not be redder
Because Stan had fallen into a shredder

Margaret laughed and thought it right
No more mowing late at night
Stan would not give her a hand
But at the end, two would land

Moral of this story. If a kind old lady asks for a hand, do give it or you may end up having to give two
