Time

Winters here. Time to plan
silence falls upon the land
Creatures sleep. Under mist
frozen ground will not be missed.
Ever-greens stand out proud
berries red shout now out loud
Time to sing, merry all
light the bonfires make them tall
bring in green, fires bright
pushing back the winter night
Time to feast, time for fun
speak in songs about the sun
Toast the gods, toast the kin
Toast the family now within
Sun peeks out. Not so strong
It shouts out I won’t be long
Soon be yule, I will return,
and shine my light upon the land
