Tacky

Today is the first day of National poetry month. 2018 Aka NaPoWriMo
The challenge to write a poem or poems a day for a whole month.

The Muse is not here. Thankfully I have prompts from the main site.

Prompt Today, we challenge you to write a poem that is based on a secret shame, or a secret pleasure. It could be eating too many cookies, or bad movies, or the time you told your sister she could totally brush her teeth with soap. It’s up to you. Happy writing!

Day 1.
Silly some would call it.
But its a laugh to me
To watch the late night telly
and have a cup of tea

I watch the selling pages
what rubbish they do sell!
But laugh at people wanting
a hand-carved pink Gazelle

Price is going up now
limited now to three
Hurry on the phone now
Buy some thing tacky

  2. Thank you. I must admit I do as well.
Though I find myself shouting at the telly when they clearly say they want an old cottage in the countryside but also want a modern house at the same time.
