The weirdness of humour
can change over time
Some things once were funny
are now out of line
Jokes that seemed so simple
to some of an age
Are now a big scandal
and can now cause rage
It can be harder to write
Sense of humour upended
I am now always worried
about who I've offended
National poetry writing month
A month of madness
