Day 141
Swallows can fly around the world
Then back again each year
Bats can hunt in the dark
Through clicks and enormous ears
Wolves in packs go miles around
And call with howls and barks
Whales and dolphins hunt down fish
In the wide sea that's dark
My mother gets lost just going home
Her inside compass crap
From Haywards heath to East Hoathly
And she needs a ruddy map!
And they do say that us human souls
Have intelligence by far
So why on earth do we get lost
When we all drive our cars?
Swallows can fly around the world
Then back again each year
Bats can hunt in the dark
Through clicks and enormous ears
Wolves in packs go miles around
And call with howls and barks
Whales and dolphins hunt down fish
In the wide sea that's dark
My mother gets lost just going home
Her inside compass crap
From Haywards heath to East Hoathly
And she needs a ruddy map!
And they do say that us human souls
Have intelligence by far
So why on earth do we get lost
When we all drive our cars?
