hello moth

Hello moth, where have you been
fluttering around my beams
following lights of gold and cream
around the wreaths of evergreen

Watch out moth, a spider waits
he will have you on his dinner plate
but dangers outside also wait
above the wreaths of evergreen

Its to cold for bats, be please beware
my cat likes moths, do have a care
don't fly too low on wooden stairs
just near the wreaths of evergreen

Oh silly moth you've hit the light
the lampshade does now hold you tight
keep still, don't with me now fight
below the wreaths of evergreen

Oh dear I've squished you in my hand
I'll wipe you off on the lampstand
its now got a lovely red band
just near the wreaths of evergreen....

...........................................................................a nice poem about a moth! dont be silly.
