Venus Fly trap

 I bought a Venus fly trap
from a chap from down the road
To help me with a problem
catch flies in my abode

I sat it on the window
Right near my Budgie cage
The flies are causing moulting
My budgies are in rage

A week or so then later
No flies were seen at all
My little Venus fly trap
had grown three inches tall

One night when I was sleeping
I quickly shook awake
The room began to rumble
the house began to shake

I hurried quickly downstairs
And stumbled in the gloom
And saw a load of feathers
now drifting round the room

The budgie cage was broken
I heard a tiny twirp
My little Venus fly trap
let out a nice big burp!

My little Venus fly trap
Gave me a real big fright
It turned into a Triffid
Grew three feet overnight!
