Watch it all

Day five of NaPoWriMo

I walked for miles In the country side
Woods and field on either side
I would sit in fields of wind swept grass
Drink from rivers clear as glass
Watched skylark sing on the air
Watched Deer stand without a care
Watched the life in hedgerows grow
Watch all life, ebb and flow.
I knew the secrets of the Wights
Knew the fey that came at night
Listened to the morning sing
Watched the dragonflies dance on wing
No soul I saw, no human guise
Nature lived in natures eyes

And I was there to watch it all

I miss it now when spring is warm
I moved away on Springs first morn
I do not know this countryside
Do not know whats on each side
But I am learning of the trees
The green men now all smile at me
The birds all sing, the insects come
I still lay down in the sun
Slow worms slither in the grass
My garden pond is clear as glass
The robin always sings his song
The blackbird comes and sings along
Dragons still dance about my head
Over new flower beds.

And I am there to watch it all.
