Zillions of years ago
There lived this old giraffe
But not one you would know today
This neck would make you laugh
For this giraffe had long long legs
a body round and fat
His neck was very very short
and on his head a hat
And one day he was walking
over the long long grass
He slipped upon a muddy path
And fell upon his arse
Because his legs were very long
And his body was quite fat
couldn't see the path below
From underneath his hat
The hat it fell onto the ground
And rolled into a crack
Oh my! exclaimed the old Giraffe
I want my old hat back
The Giraffe still sitting on the ground
into the hole he peered
But couldn't see his old old hat
For it had disappeared.
Oh well he said, Oh never mind
It never brought me luck
And that was when he realised
His ruddy head with stuck
He pulled and pulled and pulled some more
his head would not escape
He pulled and pulled and pulled some more
Oh my! was this his fate?
But luck for Fate was watching
A thought she had, quite drastic
She called up Mother earth
'Can we make his head elastic'
The giraffe he pulled and heard a ping!
At last he thought 'I'm free
And removed his head from the hole
and hit it on a tree.
Bloody hell! he said. I've stretched me neck.
I shouldn't have pulled so strong
I cannot even see my feet
My blooming necks so long.

Fate and mother earth can't win
These creatures make a fuss
You should have seen the hassle
With that silly platypus.
