Girl guides

Girl guides rambling.

Oh Daddy we really must get ready
its quarter past ten and we’re late.
you still have tea on the boiler
and there is toast that is still on your plate.
We are meeting the girls by the roadside
they will leave if we do not appear.
Oh daddy dear can you please hurry
you did say you would volunteer

I have packed my rain coat in my rucksack
in case we are caught in the rain
The weather man said it’ll be sunny
but to him I look down on with disdain.
It really is part of my contest
I will get a bright badge if we pass.
We compete with the pack outside Sussex
unlike us they do not have much class

I hope that we won’t go past a farmyard
last time Patsy got stuck in the barb wire
got her tights caught on the spikes dad
she has the worst walking attire.
Helen fell face down in a cowpat
we all laughed, but she wasn’t so keen.
She was covered in poo and quite smelly
her face was the colour citrine
