The spare room

In my friends spare room.

All these funny people made of wood, china and cork

teddy bears sit silent and some that growl and talk

Funny toys, bouncing toys,  heavy  toys too

dinky cars, matchbox cars just to name a few

Train sets, Lego sets, toys made of of lead

hard dolls, creepy dolls, dolls you take to bed.

Candle sticks, candle snuffers old gas lamps

books full with old labels and albums full of stamps

Pictures and photos, posters and signs

things that are rusty and things that have shine

There are old bottles, cod bottles. green and clear and dark

flask bottles, ink bottles, bottles with no mark

Ointment lids, no lids, corks and screw up tops

beer bottles, ink wells and funny looking pots

Clay pipes, peace pipes, wooden pipes and bone

water bottles, bed warmers and some funny looking phones

Old hammers, old saws, tools that have no name

 screwdrivers, hand drills, a panel makers plane 

vases made of china dishes made of glass

pottery made of stone, figurine's of brass

Beswick, Denby, Crested china and Goss

without the help of Millers, i would be at a loss

Clarriff cliff and Wedgewood, Cornish ware and Wade

and other famous places I'm sure this stuff was made

Bags and chests and boxes some of a Tunbridge ware

things to wear on faces and things that go in hair

Buttons, zips and buckles, pendant, brooch, fans

things used for a lady and things used for a man

In the corner some tatty feathers in a plume

and that all found just in the my friends spare bedroom.

Bootsales and Chairty shops and they have never paid over £4 for anything.
Because they are jammy sods.
