Spring forth my
friend, a seasons named
for she does come when feelings change.
The sound of water once ice and snow
melts down through the ground below
and gently nudges the sleepy shoots
for she does come when feelings change.
The sound of water once ice and snow
melts down through the ground below
and gently nudges the sleepy shoots
Though winters chill is still around
a rare frost appears upon the ground.
But in her arms of goddess Spring
does take the young plants under wing
to whisper kind words full of warmth
Soon green is seen among the trees
pink and white flowers in between
as yellow tips push to the air
a field of cowslips now appear
and gently sway upon the breeze
For now comes baby beast of ewe
upon the grass an infant new
with mothers help he finds his feet
and soon is prancing in over peat
and so the cycle begins again.
