Granddad tales

Day 113

I always remember how Granddad lied
He fought in both world wars and died
He seemed to say that he was broke
He rode his bike from Hove to Stoke

His silly tales would make us laugh
He was far to poor to take a bath
Used to wash in fresh rain puddles
Made some bob by selling cuddles

In both world wars he flew a plane
and even then he did complain
It had no wings it was a fright!
You flapped your arms to get some height

And worse was when I joined the Navy
Seas back then were extra wavy
Battle ships were handy in wars
Powered they were by me with oars

He seemed to know the strangest folks
From Horatio Nelson to John of Groats
I perfected that drink called Martini
In a shed with Mussolini!
