National poetry writing month
A month of madness

Thursday, 21 September 2017

Its sunny must be Summer.

Damn the leaves are turning.
I shouted to me mother
Apart from the chestnut trees
they've got disease or t'other
They've been brown since bloody spring
Long before  May day
And folk are saying
Its Autumn now today.

Because people are stupid
The seasons they don't know
Just because its colder than last week
It doesn't mean it'll snow
The Seasons know their stuff
They don't need Humans aid
Unlike the bloody weather man
The Seasons don't get paid

When sun is seen in Winter
No one will say these words
That Just a minute this isn't right
Must be Summer how Superb!
So just cos its got a little cold
The weather misbehaves
Just don't blame it on the seasons
For a Christmas day heatwave.
