Braided hair and Nans garden

Braided hair
Tip toe
here you go
little girl with the braided hair

rain coat
toy boat
and your favorite teddy bear

rain storm
keep warm
little boots that are snug and dry

hold hand
with gran
as the traffic does pass you by

jump skip
dont trip
walking down that country lane

mud slip
feet trip
but you never do complain

river deep
bank steep
hold on tight while we cross ahead

ducks come
geese come
waiting patiently for your bread

Fairies at the bottom of the garden

My gran Nina
I remember
Wooden washing pegs
Wooden seats with wonky legs
Buttered bread before its cut
Open doors, never shut
Cooking earth for the seeds
Flowers beds, never weeds
A tin of sweets, for a treats
Proper turkish delight

My gran Hilda
I remember
Dressing up in your clothes
This little pig on my toes
Party games, hide and seek
Fish and chips every week
Polishing brass
Cleaning glass
Arranging flowers
Super powers
Your jewelery box

And fairies at the bottom of the garden
